We have an open postdoc position at The Center for Musculoskeletal Regeneration with an emphasis on injectable and implantable biomaterials to tune the immune environment towards regeneration.
The candidate will develop hypothesis-driven investigations of how sugars functionalization of materials impact on immune system boosting regeneration of bone and cartilage.
The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in materials science or a closely related field. Experience in polymeric materials synthesis, materials characterization, and cell culture is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to be creative, highly motivated, work independently and with a strong background in tissue engineering.
This position is an excellent and exciting opportunity for exposure to all aspects of translational biomaterials (patent law, formulation, pharmacodynamics and toxicology, clinical trials, FDA regulations) while continuing to explore the basic science mechanisms related to the novel materials discovery.
